I use pinking shears but I got a serger for christmas so once I learn how to use it Ill do it that way:D

i use some kind of glue that special for fray fabric

I run it through a sewing machine  with the zig zap stitch width and length set very high.

I use clear fingernail polish. I just take the fabric with the edge facing me and brush it on. It;s cheap too :)

I use bias and sew by hand. I works great and only takes a few minutes.

I used to whipstitch the edges but I just bought Fraystop. Will try it for my next project.

If you want to use masking tape, you need to make sure that you leave enough of a border to be able to cut it off once you are done. If you dont remove it, your fabric will yellow over time

I use a low tack masking tape and i dont make the edge to wide just about a half inch.
