Hello. I'm trying to make a doll.
Still just the head. I'm spending a lot of time understanding by studing, translating and watching many amigurumi patterns examples and explanations, until I find the right shape.
I wish I could understand crochet so much till the point I can draw myself all the pieces I need!
Please let's do our best to learn. The trick it's to learn the basic shapes and put all together. Make the eyes is very simple, just 2 circle rounded (starting with 6 chains until reach the size you want large the eyes) . Cheecks is basically a rounded circle made with simply 4 chains (closed in the round, but use always the magic ring, not chains to make these circles for eyes and cheeks).
The yarn I used was Catona by scheepjes 100% cotton mercerised
You have to create a drawing of what you want to achieve. And works in the round and make many trials following youtube videos where they make rounded heads.
Write down everything and start to go on. Now I need to make body.
The body need to be a simple shape. Like a cylinder. Then attach/sewing two simple hand (to shape like a little long cylindrical) simple and simple legs. Then find some free crochet outfit and make some trials until to find the right hook size and yarn that will fit the basic cilinder shape .
Don't be afraid to make a simple shape. The more will be simple, the more 'chubby' and cute will be.
On youtube you can find how to make a pair of boots so you can add the boots too on a simple cylindrical shape of legs.
