The moment I saw the pattern on Owl Forests website, I knew where I want to stitch it. Picking out the variegated colors that go together took me a lot longer but was still very enjoyable, since I have a big stash of DMC variegated color floss. Each square took almost an entire skein, and the red skein ran particularly low, only two strands of about 8 inches long left in the end.
