pattern not opening

i recently downloaded part 1 of the patter/book 52 weeks of knitting on my phone and it wont open. the file ended in .rar doesthat have anything to do with
it?

Try downloading all the parts. Sometimes files ended with rar that have several parts needs to be extracted together, if you only download certain parts it wont open

You first have to download all parts,and than open the first part.
Only downloading 1 part of more parts of rar files and trying to open,doesnt work.

after downloading ALL parts. hightlight them
right clic- EXTRACT to  .............where you store your pattern
