YARN
- Each cosy uses a few grammes of DK weight yarn
(double knitting or light worsted weight) in each
shade: Green, Brown, Grey and White.
- The cosies photographed were knitted in
Hayfield Bonus DK, 100% acrylic yarns, in shades
Moss Green, Pumpkin, Light Grey Mix and White.
- This yarn or a similar acrylic DK yarn is
recommended. You will only need a few
grammes of each colour to make each cosy, so it
is an ideal project to use up ends of a yarn ball.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
- A pair of 3.5mm (US 4) single pointed needles,
minimum length 20cm
- A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
- Two 5mm black beads for eyes per cosy, sewing
needle and thread
- Dark brown, pink and yellow DK yarns to
embroider the noses and beak (1 metre each)
