You can buy gold for the pinDIY site with bitcoin but its 45USD for 10,000 gold. Seems like a lot.

Instead of buying bitcoins why dont you do the hourly tasks, comment on folks uploads, and perhaps upload some of your personal patterns - you get GC for uploading and then if someone buys your upload youll receive GCs also. You have to work tasks and comments and theyll add up quickly.
