Floss, Aida and Linen

What is everyones favorite to stitch on aida or linen? And what count? And what brand is your favorite floss?

Currently I mostly use 14 count Aida in various colors.  My eyes are not as good as they used to be.  Occasionally, I will use 16 or 18 count.  In the past, my favorite was linen.  I use DMC floss.  I have never used any other brand of floss.

I started on 14ct, but now have graduated to 18ct aida. I have never tried linen. I do use a LED light to help me see & two pairs of readers. I also have only used DMC floss. Thank you for your response. :)
