The Frozen Puddles socks are worked from the toe up. A small gusset at the shadow wrap heel makes the sock comfortable even for a wider instep . The stitch pattern on the foot has a 8-stitches repeat and imitates the beauty of frozen puddles. The instructions have been written for magic looping but also DPNs can be used. Socks should be worn with a bit of negative ease. For the best fit, a sock should measure about 10 % smaller than the actual foot circumference, and about 5% shorter than the actual foot length. The foot length can be adjusted easily.
