Your usergroup does not have permission to access attachments

hi everyone,

Im very new, I think you can tell. Ive seen the mention "Your usergroup does not have permission to access attachments" around. So what user group exactly has access to those. Also, in order not to create another thread I would like to know what users are allowed to upload pdf ressources because yesterday I was unable to help someone with a file because I was not authorised to upload pdfs as a reply. I get that mods want to filter spam accounts and whatnot but I find it frustrating to have the answer to someones question and being unable to help.

Oh I wasnt trying to post a pattern. Someone asked for a book in the cooking group offering a reward and I tried to respond with a pdf and simply couldnt.

If they posted a bounty, then you just upload your pdf in a section here www.pindiy.com/forum-268-1.html and let them know in their post. Once its approved by a moderator, you will get your reward.

I posted the file like you said, but I cant give the author of the post the link of the thread because I am not allowed to share links. its a mountain of unnecessary restrictions for no good reason, jesus. anyway, Ill try to communicate without links
