Ive been stuck in grief and nonbelief. He wasnt that old and had been so careful during the pandemic. He went to visit my mom in the hospital and he caught covid in the hospital. He went so quick. I cant even begin to really accept this, am struggling to craft since this happened. I had just started tatting and dont want to put bad feeling into my work or crochet tension. Everyone wants stuff to be solved by me, for me to take care of everything including his puppy, and I feel like I cant do anything as everything I do makes it more real. Its like every day is a bad, sad day and I feel like a lost little kid with the strength of the emotions and depression. I miss my dad. And of course life is far worse then all of this since everything else is falling apart but this is what I cant process or handle right now.

I am very sorry for your loss, Kitsuneka.  Sometimes we feel totally overwhelmed and even paralysed with grief and the expectations of others...it takes lots and lots of time to get a small sense of  "getting balance"  back into your life and gaining some stability, again.  When it happened to me, I found that doing craft brought a great feeling of
calm and comfort....I found peace and tranquillity in my knitting....and gradually, ever so slowly, thoughts turned to the memories filled with love & happiness, with joy and even those of shared laughter....and they grew and forced out the pain and suffering until only beautiful moments remained. This will happen for you, too....I think this is part of the universal human condition that we must all pay for experiencing life.
Dont reject your craft...instead, use it to heal, to strengthen and to create. I think it will all help. Big hugs

Im so very sorry for your loss, sending big hugs.  There is nothing anyone can say that will make you feel better right now but just know that you will be ok and allow yourself time to grieve. Dont worry about your crafting, it will still be there when youre feeling up to doing it again :)

Im so sorry. Its totally normal to lose interest in hobbies while grieving. Dont worry about it. It will still be there when youre ready to do it again. Just be gentle with yourself.

How I feel your pain and grief. Lost my mom last summer after my parents were married 70 years. Now my father who is 92 had a major stroke and diagnosis of terminal cancer this past week. He is in rehab but not doing well. I think he has given up. His heart is broken from losing my mom. Yes, Time does heal pain and grief but the memory is still there daily. We can only go on in this world trying to find strength and balance daily. So sorry to read about your loss. Take care of yourself do what makes you happy in life. Maybe make something crafty in his memory that you can look back on later in his remembrance.
