im just wondering what credits are, what their use is, and how you get them?

Nooo!
For ex: Postsx0.1 -> so if you post 10 times, youll get 1 credit.
Online Time (h)/1.5 -> youll get 1 credit for 1.5 hour online

Its just to level up in the website. You can download some patterns only if you are DIY 1 for example.
The formula is : ( Posts×0.1 + Threads×0.26 + Digests×5 + Online Time (h)/1.5 + Money )

Credits determine what level you are. They dont have a lot of significance anymore. Coins are the sites currency. They enable you to buy patterns.
