Hello everyone, hope youre having a wonderful day.
I work at a hospital and I had the idea to stitch something for the pediatrics clinic there since it has bare walls and I would like the children to be able to look at something cute and fun while they wait there so theyre not so scared.
I would like your suggestions for charts that are fun for children, and not too big or complicated or has over 30 colors so that I can finish them quickly and hopefully even do more than one, preferably not a lot backstitch since I dont enjoy it, some backstitch is not a problem though.
Thanks a bunch for your help!

I dont know if its for one room, or for separate rooms. If its one room I would suggest to make little squares, and make your own painting (like Mondriaan) or something likewise.
But this could also be done as painting.
If its for seperate rooms I wouldnt know

It must comply with safety standards. Frescoes made in painting either on everyday life or on animals....seem the best to me. Very nice project.

I recently looked for someone else for patterns for a childrens hospital.
- Search for PAKO and you find several Miffy patterns. On this site you can also Hello Kitty patterns.
- Some magazines have alphabets (1 letter approx 4-6 hours). Not all are fun for children but some are.
My personal fav is Animal Train by Maria Diaz. You can look at her site for the sampler. The pattern was published in Cross Stitcher 315 which you can download from this site. This issue also includes a butterfly pattern and patterns of cars!
- there are also several pattern for learning to count like JBW Designs 120 - Learning To Count and Lucie Heaton in Cross Stitch Gold 68
- Anchor Studio has some cute small patterns for towels and bibs (some are free so look also on their site).
- A lot of the smaller patterns you can find in cross stitch magazines (I love the Steampunk animals from Lucie Heaton in Cross Stitch Crazy 258).
If you are looking for something in particular search on Pinterest and the patterns from magazines you find here mostly.
On this site you can find really small pattern when you search one nighters.
Children like (wildlife) animals - dont know if there is a small pattern. And on this site you find several Disney patterns.
Les Brodeuses Parisiennes also have small patterns which you could make a sampler with.

I do not the size you have in mind but maybe you like the patterns of All Our Yesterdays (also has numbers and lots more). They do not use much different colors and you could make a serie.
