I know this will sound silly and its a long shot, but try blanking out your email address (the whole box), retyping it very carefully and then try the veryify again.  You might have a hidden character by accident in there somewhere, or your eyes just dont see it, but there could be a mistake in the email address.  Ive been know to slip a character when typing.
