Is there sussoped to be a reading price? Also I was a little confused on pricing so if a pattern says it costs 150 coins and then it says the income pay is 105 then technically were paying $255 coins for the pattern?

No, if a pattern costs 150gc, the system keeps 30% as "tax", so you are only paying 150gc and the uploader only gets 105gc.
Plus you pay 30gc for the download, so you actually pay 180gc, IIRC
