Figuring things out

So I see there is a lot of confusion for example the reply and the comments section so Im trying to understand it correctly. So if I read the directions correctly when someone uploads an image even when thanking people they are to use the comment section like they are supposed to use the comment section to chat. So I was told to use the reply section to thank people and the comment section to chat  but then when I did that I was still being told it was wrong so Im looking for clarification. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you use the reply section.

If you are responding to someone, its best to use the comments button, even in Free talk because the conversation can be followed more easily.
