“Nukunuku sweater” is an oversized sweater worked from the top down, featuring shoulder bands extending from the turtleneck and ribs around the armholes. Its generous silhouette gently wraps your body like the Japanese word “Nukunuku” means (warm and cozy).
It starts with the shoulder bands, then stitches for the front and back are picked up from them. They are worked flat to the underarms, then joined and worked in the round to the hem. Sleeves stitches are picked up from the armhole and worked in the round. Both body and sleeves can be extended to your liking (note that the required amount of yarn will change).
