You need to reply the threads, and once the technical issue is sorted you will be able to share patterns and contribute to the forum. It is the easiest way for you to upgrade your DIY level. :)

Digests are threads that are carefully selected by the mod team, because of their good quality and overall popularity.
You dont get to make a digest on purpose, it just happens.

This was not a new rule, but was confirmed to be a technical issue of the forum by one of the moderators, pitussa, on another thread Ive been reading.
They are working on it at the moment and it will be back to normal anytime soon.
