Half-Fisherman’s Rib (HFR): HFR is a pattern
consisting of 2 repetitive rows/rnds. These 2
rows/rnds are what is referred to as Row/Rnd
1&2 for the rest of the pattern.
Worked in the Round: CO even number of sts.
Rnd 1: K all.
Rnd 2: *K1, p1-b; rep from * to end.
Rep Rnds 1 and 2 for pattern. When
purling one below (p1-b), the knitting
needle will be inserted under the purl
bump below the stitch on the needle.
Worked in Flat/Rows: CO odd number of sts
Row 1 (OS): K all.
Row 2 (IS): *K1-b, p1; rep from * to
last 2 sts, k1, p1. Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pattern.
When knitting one below (k1-b), the
knitting needle will be inserted into the
center of the stitch of the row below.
kyok: knit, yarn over, knit into the same st. 2
st increased.
SSSK sl 3 sts knitwise one at a time, insert the
left needle into the front of the slipped stitches
and knit them together, 2st decreased in
left-leaning direction
K3tog: Knit 3 stitches together, 2st decreased in
right-leaning direction
edge stitch: sl the first st purlwise with yarn in front,
and k last st on row.
