NOTES
Intarsia techniques are used to make the vertical columns. The back and front are worked flat from the bottom up. For the front and back pieces, you will need 4 bobbins (or cakes/balls) each of colors B and C; and 5 bobbins of color A. For the sleeve cuffs, you will need 2 or 3 small bobbins of each color.
The sleeve cuffs are worked flat and then joined by overlapping and the remainder of each sleeve is worked in the round until the caps.
The back and front are sewn together at the sides and shoulders. The sleeves are set in and sewn.
The collar is picked up at the neckline and worked in the round.
The buttons are decorative only and do not have corresponding buttonholes. The sample has two ⅝” buttons on each cuff.
Make sure the gauge remains the same for working both flat and in the round.
Weave the ends in as the pieces progress to maintain the fabric shape.
