Hello KweenD,
While I havent ever sold any of my makes (Ive always used them as gifts), Ive been a member of professional crochet maker groups for quite a while. A lot of them experience either scammers (trying to access their personal information to steal them) or difficult customers (unresponding / changing their minds / opening disputes for the tiniest reason in order to get their money back) at some point. Though most of them seem to agree that the vast majority of their sales are done with nice and happy customers.
Id say it depends what your goal is... if you want to share the love of crochet and support your hobby financially, might be doable without to much of a hassle.
Making a living out of it is a whole other thing... competition is harsh : many makers sell their creations, a lot of them are very talented which makes it difficult to compete with, and globalization implies that some makers which have lower cost of living may sell at a more attractive price.
Hope thats been helpful. |
