Forest Nymph Cardigan by Lene Tøsti

This is a short fitted cardigan worked top down, with increases on the yoke and a wide rib at the waist. Short rows are worked at the top of the yoke to make the neckband a bit higher on the back and deeper at the front. The cardigan is knitted in one piece and then cut open (steeked) at the front.

The waist measurement is a slightly stretched rib. The rib is elastic and will fit a wider waist as well. If you want a wider rib, skip the decreases before the rib.
Full length measured at center back:
About 45 cm/17.75”
Full length measured at center front:
About 40 cm/15.75”

YARN
Contrast colors:
A gradient kit consisting of 6 x 50 g Tynn Norsk Lammeull (Thin Norwegian Lambswool) or Tynn Norsk Pelsull (Thin Norwegian Pelt Wool) is sufficient for all sizes.
Main color:
200 (200, 250, 250, 300, 300, 300) g Tynn Norsk Lammeull or Tynn Norsk Pelsull.
Tynn Norsk Lammeull (375 m/410 yds per 100g) is the same yarn as Hillesvåg Vilje.
Tynn Norsk Pelsull (350 m/382 yds per 100g) is the same yarn as Hillesvåg Sølje.
You can use a different yarn with the same weight and gauge.
GAUGE
Stranded colorwork: 26 sts and about 32 rnds per 10 cm/4”
Rib (slightly stretched in width) 24 sts and about 40 rnds per 10 cm/4”
It is not essential with a spot on round gauge (number of rnds per 10 cm/4”), since the length measurements are given, but if your round gauge differs, you might have more or less leaves in height than shown in the picture.
NEEDLES
3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle and Double Pointed Needles.
3 mm/US 2.5 circular and Double Pointed Needles for ribbing.
Or the needle size you need to achieve correct gauge.
The sample is made in size S and worked in the gradient Nordisk Furu (Nordic Pine) on Tynn Norsk Lammeull, with Black Tynn Norsk Lammeull as main color.
