Inspired by the lush flora of a botanical garden, Tower Hill is a deep crescent shawl with several lace motifs and a contrasting lace border.
Lace is worked on the right side only. Instructions for the lace are both fully written and charted. A schematic is included, as well as instructions for working a larger selvedge. If working from charts, please print the pattern in full color.
Yarn: 620-650 yards of fingering or sport weight yarn - approx. 420 yards of Main Color and at least 200 yards of Contrast Color.

(Note that while these two yarns are listed at different weights, I found them to be very similar, and any fingering or sport weight yarn can be used instead - just be mindful of gauge and have an extra skein if your gauge differs.)
Needles: Size US 6/4mm 40” circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: yarn needle, stitch markers (optional), blocking wires and/or T-pins, blocking mat
Gauge: 22 stitches and 26 rows = 4” in stockinette on size US 6/4mm needles, after blocking (Exact gauge is not critical and slight differences can be blocked out)
Finished Dimensions: 56” wingspan (along top edge of shawl), 18” depth
