Hello everyone, I hope youre having a good day

I am a beginner knitter, Im currently knitting the sophie scarf by petiteknit, before that I knit a scrunchie. So you can see Im a complete beginner. I am thinking next I will knit the cinnamoroll plushie by mongaknits (free on ravelery and she has a YT tutorial I will follow) and maybe another sophie scarf in another color, but I want to start knitting something a little more substantial after those, maybe even apparel.

Do you folks have any good projects or pattern suggestions for me to start? Something that will teach me something new but not too complex that Ill give up on it or the hobby as a whole lol.

Thanks so much for your help <3

I would check out Tin Can Knits free patterns and see what speaks to you as theyre quite beginner friendly. If you want to make a sweater, the Step By Step Sweater by Florence Miller is a great one because its designed for newbies and there are plenty of YT videos from the creator to help.

I think this is what Im going to do after I finish the cinnamoroll plushie I started, I am definitely NOT knitting another sophie scarf, it was actually quite tedious, all the counting every 8 rows w  Details Reply Post time 2024-9-24 23:08

I would say to try a shawl, maybe with texture or lace. You could learn how to increase and how to follow a pattern

I like shawls because you dont have to worry about gauge
