I didnt even dreamed to have this rare kit in my collection of vintage Dimensions golds. Isnt this 1994 design absolutely gorgeous? Then I saw it on Ebay, made an offer - which was accepted - and voila! Its mine now!! I am absolutely ecstatic!
The kit arrived today. It was sealed, never opened but the 30 year old showed some shelf fatigue in terms of dead insects parts and dust on the fabric. I opened it to give it a thorough examination and pre-cleaning.
I will definitely be changing the fabric (already bought a piece of 30 count Permin linen of similar ivory tone) and will give the floss a good soak in soapy water to avoid color running. Then I will sort out the threads by color (its like a zen activity for me, love it!), make a copy of the paper pattern, overlock the edges of the fabric and will prepare everything to start the project.
