Hi everyone!

I was wondering what your favorite way of row counting is? Do you use a phone app or a row clicker?

Im a new knitter and just started using the phone app "my row counter" but Im sure there are better options out there! Id love to hear what you use!

Knitcompanion

You can have the PDF pattern on your screen, mark your progress, and it has 4 counters on the right that you can use while knitting.
I stopped printing everything and just now use that, the free version is good enough for me.
I used to keep track by writing in pencil on my printed patterns or a notebook.
The paid version I am really considering ;)

I dont use row counters or anything like that because you forget it far too often and too quickly.
I also usually work on several projects at the same time.

I usually mark every 10 rows/rounds with a lockable stitch marker.
This works best for purl stitches and, of course, for less complex knitting patterns.

If its very complex, I prefer to use knitCompanion in the subscription version and wouldnt want to be without it.
Simply tap or announce and the row marker jumps up by 1.
Highly recommended.

I have the little rotary row counter my mother had (its older than I am). It stows on the needle when Im finished my session so I always know how many rows Ive done.

Hi! I just make a little tick on a half used notebook I carry around anyways to write down notes on the patterns. Im considering buying a row counter pin, but its more on the cute side than effective :)
