Help with searching

I really love this forum, but it is so frustrating trying to do searches. If you know the exact name of a pattern its easy to search. Ive seen patterns here Ive never seen before, so of course I dont know the name of it. I have found patterns by searching a specific designer, but again I dont know the names of every designer.


My main problem is not being able to search a specific category, like Other Hand Works Resources. For example, I can search handbags or dolls and get lots of results. Problem is I dont do cross stitch, dont knit and rarely crochet, but if I want to find patterns I have to go through several hundreds of results that are probably 85 or 90% knit or crochet. To be honest, if there are a lot of results I dont bother looking.

If there is a way to just search a category I havent figured it out, so if someone knows how please let me know.

Search, after you select Advanced and Search Range to select the section you are interested in.

Yeah, if you select ADVANCED you can choose what kind of patterns you want.
