This message appears at the top of my iBooks page - can someone please explain what is happening? I thought once I paid and downloaded a pattern it was always there for me in the future but this seems to imply that I need to pay GC to "keep" my patterns???

And yet I don’t understand why not put a confirmation window on this update button.
So that when clicked, a window would pop up: “Do you really want to pay 1,000,000 GC to update the data?” The person will either click OK or cancel their actions. This would save many users from erroneous clicks and disappointments.

There's already several threads about this if you just look down for iBooks or your title.

Those threads don't really answer my question. I've read many of them. You have coins deducted when you visit iBooks and there are others who say they've had no coins taken and have visited many times.

I get the fact it takes space on their servers to keep a log of the iBooks I've downloaded but at least give me a heads up regarding what is transpiring. If I have to pay GCs to keep them viewable for a year I will but then I shouldn't have to pay to download them again (JMHO) since I've already paid 30 GC the first time around.

I haven't seen anything from an admin that gives an explanation of what is happening, just comments from users like you and me.

Basically if you click on iBook it's going to cost you a lot of coins every time.

I didn't know about this and I can't see anything on mobile to tell me.  I've lost several thousand coins, so don't click on iBooks unless you have a big buffer of coins you can afford to lose.

Also I don't understand, if one click updates for a year why does it need to charge again. Shouldn't it be free to click for 365 days?  Post time 2025-1-12 15:58
