This pattern is double knit and is SUPER warm!! It only makes one size as written, but if you would like to make a different size of hat, I would suggest you go down a needle size and/or go down a few stitches. The pattern contains an explanation of how to do double knitting and the techniques involved in it. So if you’ve never done double knitting before, this should be a great intro to it. The pattern involves chart knitting, a bit of crochet, braiding, double knitting and patience.
