I never noticed before till lately but last august I quit smoking, and I havent stitched any white since then. But i wanted to finish the top half of the chart and found no matter what white I use i couldnt get a match. Turns out even if you wash your hands well after a ciggerate and then carry on stitching the oils from your hands carry small amounts of nicotine which discolour delicate colours like white. I tried Blanc, 3865 and B5200 and even after washing the piece nothing!!!:Q So now as payment for my bad habit I am unpicking all the white and going to restitch it, which is sooooooo sad.
So heed warning smoking plays havoc on your stitching :( (..............and stitching budget ;P)
