Failed Stormy Ocean Cardigan

From the Stormy Ocean Cardigan pattern by Drops design
I'm so disappointed.
I knitted it, struggled to get the zipper on, and I wore it. It was light, warm, and so soft.
And then I washed it, once ... it became soggy, lost all its texture, and pilled terribly :(
I used cheap 100% acrylic yarn ... maybe that was my mistake ...

На вид очень замечательный жакет, ну и что, что из дёшевой пряжи, можно обработать машинкой для удаления катышек и носить...я очень люблю акрил, он очень теплый и мягкий!!!!...

It is beautiful. So sad that it soggy. Maybe try to "shave" it with a razor then starch iron it. It will be flat once it's iron but it won't be soggy. Hope something could help save it.

Sorry to hear of your struggles with this piece.. Mistakes do happen and we learn from them.. Do you think you will stitch it again with a better yarn?

Cheer up, every experience teaches us lessons. It looks great! Buy a lint roller, it will help you greatly improve its appearance.
