Is there any better way to meet spring than in a shawl with a big bouquet of colourful tulips? Bukett is a two-coloured, slightly asymmetrical shawl knit sideways from one tip. The bouquet is shaped with short-rows, and the entire shawl is knit in garter stitch. This makes it a very simple project that anyone can execute, as long as you know how to make knit stitches, increases and know how to slip stitches. This shawl is perfect for your handspun yarn in various colours, combined with a plain white or solid colour yarn. Or perhaps a bunch of mini skeins as the contrast colour? Bukett is written for a locally produced Swedish yarn from the local mini-mill Östergötlands ullspinneri. The yarns Visjö and Karamell are spun from wool from finewool sheep, a native heritage breed that has a very soft and crimpy wool resulting in fabric that can be worn next to the skin. The colourway Karamell is a gorgeous gradient yarn that goes through the colours about three times per skein. The shawl uses 2 skeins of the base colour (white) and less than one skein of the contrast yarn (rainbow). The skeins of the recommended yarn are 300 m/100 g.
