Made to Measure Crochet Patterns

Is anyone else a fan of this type of pattern? Where they provide instructions by measurement instead of set sizes so you can make the item to fit exactly and to your taste. I like the former because guage isn't important and you can use whatever yarn you like. Are there any patterns in this style you like or designers who write this type of pattern?
