Unable to see some resources/patterns

Why is it that sometimes I can't see a pattern that I just posted? I'm always careful to make sure any user level can access my patterns, so why do I always see this pop up? This is really frustrating me as I want everyone to be able to use the patterns! I'm on DIY.1 if that helps at all.

When a pattern is still in the new post section, nobody can see it, only the moderators can.
Once a moderator has checked the post and moved it to the right section, everyone has access to it.
