"Donate to us by clicking this link"

In the Tasks section DIY placed a new task "Donate to us by clicking this link".

When I clicked, the website was blocked on my work computer.
When I tried to click the same link from my iPhone, it asked me to download an app VPN protection.


Firstly, I do not want to install any apps on my device.
Secondly, why on earth it would ask me to do that?

It's all seems very suspicious, you know?

The painting fairy task disappeared from my task list at the same time the donation task appeared. Now both these tasks are no longer there.

It seems the task is gone now, perhaps added by a rogue admin?

I also clicked on the link in the task. I received 50 coins. But a Telegram channel opened for me and they suggested launching a bot. I blocked the bot and left.
Can someone explain what this task is and why everyone has this link leading to different sites?

My adblock instantly closes it, so I opened in a private tab to see only the message "empty OK"

I tried a few more times out of curiosity to get some gambling ad, very much doubt that is intended, I expected a link to a crypto wallet to donate
actually it changes each time you click it, unless what they mean they get some money each time someone clicks that link as a "donation"

I just got the points notification, didn't see anything else. I use Android Opera with ads and pop-ups blocked though.
