Can anyone tell me is their a publication on how to turn cross stitch patches into a cross stitch quilt?
Please be aware it will have to be all sewn by hand as I am epileptic without an aura and need my fingers to cross stitch ;P
I love blankets like love quilts and patchwork quilts and really would love to make myself a kingsize version with all the patches and small designs I have, can anyone help a complete novice in hand sewing?????
There are many publications on how to turn blocks into quilts. Have you the blocks already? If so you can sew them together by hand. I am not sure if there are any tutorials online for such things and I took all my classes in a proper quilt store. But you might go to the library and try Quilting For Dummies or your local book store. Barnes and Nobel if you have one is a very good place to try. You can sit and read the book if you like before you buy it. They are a wonderful store for resource materials. Good luck. Post your progress so we can watch your quilt grow! :)
Thankyou so much, the sample proved useful and have now got the full edition for my kindle. It seems perfect. I havent got many blocks done but now with the correct instruction i should be quilting

Im as curious about cross stitching a quilt as I am about what you said about seizures. Thank you for intriguing my mind. Ive googled both cross stitching quilts and seizures. I like to do research on things I am unfamiliar with, so I have a better understanding of the world around me.
I am very slow at stitching but as I do a patch I will post to a new album and eventually I hope to have a quilt
