I am going to travel by plane, and i do not know if a can take my knitting needles with me while flying. Do you have any experience on this?

I don't think you'll have any problems, especially if you use bamboo  or wooden needles. They're not sharp or pointy enough to be weapons or dangerous in any way. Even with metal needles, it'll be fine.

It depends on the country an where you are going.Just flew from Europe to Canada and had Knitting Needles with me but those that you can remove from the knitting band . Google interchangeable knitting needles.I had no problems.

It does not depend on the airline or the country but on the security personnel.
If they are having a bad day or are particularly motivated, your needles may be confiscated.
Use cheap needles, preferably wood or bamboo.
In the worst-case scenario, pack a stamped envelope addressed to you in which the knitting can be packed if necessary. If it is confiscated at the security check, it will also be disposed of.

It has happened to me once so far. And, honestly, you really don't need it.
