New to PinDIY - have know idea how to use this

Hi -

I'm new here and have know idea what to do.  I found that the administrators sent me a link to read, but the link didn't work.  How do I get pins and what does it mean

When someone visits this page from a link you share, you will be rewarded.

How do I "share a link" and what exactly am I linking.  Very confused

If you go into the section marked Forum Bulletin that looks like a purple lightbulb, there are lots of items there for you to read.  When I was new I just taught myself, by visiting various sections, you will soon learn.  Also don't forget to click on My Centre (top right of your screen) and click on tasks.
