I've mistaken my files while creating a crochet post for a pattern and uploaded the image as the attachment for that pattern, so it ended up in recycled. I'd like to know if I can edit it or post that pattern again with the correct file or if I get any penalties for it

Once in recycle you can't do anything anymore.
