Thankfully I've never had one, so I can't offer any advice. But my thoughts are with you and hope you get to feeling better real soon.I've heard people talk about hoe painful they are and hate to hear anyone is going thru this.

I'm still at the "small" hospital, I've had bloods and urine taken and had a new scan.
The kidney stone is confirmed at 7mm.
They are checking my results from tests now.

I've been here since early morning and is now lunchtime, if they make me wait any longer here I won't make it to the city hosptial until evening.
It's going to be a long day!
