I thought Id share some more projects I made
I finished this just recently. Its for my sister to use in school.
I made the patterns after my sisters DeviantArt avatar - its like the gray puffle - and then edited the original to make the other ones.
Its stitched on aida 14 with DMC and Ariadna thread. The finished bag is 18 cm long. Everything is hand sewn because I dont have (or rather dont have a permission to use) sewing machine. It was fun stitching the puffles but not so much fun to sew. The photos are taken before ironing (and the wip photos are just for a close view), if I take better ones, Ill post then instead.
I love their expressions! {:3_52:}
Thank you all!
trinhdang, Id love to help, just tell me what exactly do you need - the cross stitch pattern or the sewing instructions? I used sewing tutorial from a blog on the net and - I can post a link to it in the advertising since its the only place where linking is permitted
Er... ok, Ill try explaining, but Im nit very good at this!
1. Youll need your 2 pieces of outer fabric (in my case the cross stitched pieces), 2 pieces of lining with the same dimensions and an appropriate zipper.
2. Put one piece of lining with the right side up, then the zipper, right side up too, and on the top the outer fabric right side down. Secure those three layers with pins and sew them together
3 Put the 2 layers of fabric aside. Now the wrong sides should match and the zipper should stand aside
4. Repeat the same for the other side of the zipper and the other pieces of lining and outer fabric
5. Now you may want to topstitch few mms from the zipper, but I didnt do that..
6. Flip the fabric layers so you have the lining pieces at one side and the outer ones at the other.
7. Unzip the zipper
8. Sew the sides and be careful to catch the zipper too. Sew the bottom at the outer fabric side
9 Cut if you have any excess zipper or similar (smth I forgot....)
10 Reach trough the hole left from not stitching the bottom of the lining and turn everything right side up
11. Close the hole in the lining, iron and hide the lining inside the bag
12. Now you should be a happy owner of a brand new handmade baggy and have all right to go and brag about it lol!
Well thats how I made it, I dont know if I explained it well enough. Im a newbie at sewing so Im not the best teacher around
