I know there are people making a living from their crafts. I've never tried it as a business. I have tried it as a way to earn some extra money, but in my experience it's almost impossible to actually sell stuff for what its worth. By the time you consider the time you have put into making something and the cost of your supplies, it's hard to make much profit. A lot of people don't care if it's hand made and you spent hours or days making it.
I agree with some other posters, let IT be your main income and sell crochet items as a side job. Even if you could turn crochet into a business it won't happen over night. In the meantime you need a paycheck to live and pay bills. |
