Velvet Loop Sweater by Natalja Ledvanova - Casual Knits Studio

                                                                                                                        The Velvet Loop Sweater is knit from the bottom up in the round. Once the work reaches theunderarms, it is divided into two parts: the back yoke and the front yoke. The back yoke isworked first, and shoulder shaping is done at the top. The front yoke includes neckline shaping.Both yokes also include armhole decreases.
                                        Next, the front and back yokes are joined along the shoulder seams. This is the only seam inthe garment. The sleeves are worked top-down from the armhole. Forst, the sleeve cup isshaped using German short rows for a better fit. Then the sleeve is knit in the round withoutany decreases, and just before the cuff – worked in 1x1 rib – sharp decreases are made at thecenter of the sleeve. Finally, the neckline is finished with a 1x1 rib.
                                        NB! Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correctgauge. Wash and block your swatch before measuring your gauge.
