Painting fairy task?

Is anyone else missing the weekly Painting Fairy task?
It was the only reliable way to collect pins and download patterns that wasn't painstakingly slow, as the other tasks have low pin returns; if this is a permanent decision and not a bug, this will result in users reducing their interactions with the site ...
