Separate section for amigurumi

I think it would be useful to give amigurumi its own section,  separate from crochet. It's so popular now that it deserves a dedicated section. This would also help in the Advanced search function for users who want to rule in or rule out amigurumi when searching for a crochet pattern.

I don't do amigurumi so I would love ability to filter it out of the crochet section! I think lots of amigurumi crocheters stick to that exclusively, so having the ability to filter it to only that would also be helpful for them!

I think that’s an interesting idea ! I’m assuming that’s what the softies category is meant to contain, but I’m super new so I’m not great at using lots of filters in my searches (like crochet section + or - softies, as an example).

Yes, I would find that very helpful, too.
I myself crochet almost exclusively amigurumi, and that would make searching a lot easier.

Вы знаете, я поддерживаю вас в этом вопросе.  Тема вязанной игрушки (спицы, крючок) очень популярна... Есть конечно коллекции у участников на эту тему.  Но коллекции просматриваются в режиме "сообщения", и порой надо очень много времени что бы найти, что тебе надо.  В самом разделе "вязание крючком" темы можно просматривать в режиме "сообщение" и "изображение".  "Изображение" - сразу с картинкой к теме, но тоже надо много времени на поиск. А так мысль на плохая.  Многим бы облегчила поиск.

I think this is a fantastic idea! I currently use the Advance search with 'softies' but it still filters out the majority of actual amigurumi. Many times, I just search for a specific designer and don't even bother scrolling through the thousands of pages of crochet. It just gets exhausting lol
