Making a post in the forums or threads only gains 10 pins and frankly, the amount of 'thanks for sharing' replies just clutter up the threads instead of talking about the pattern, any tips, etc.
The threads could be genuinely useful if not for the flood of repetitive replies just for the points. Incredibly annoying when you post a bounty and get a dozen 'thanks for sharing!' replies...I haven't shared anything! I'm looking!
Clearly this is the most accessible way of earning pins for forum users but I don't think it enhances the forum experience. Maybe we should prioritise posting responses on the diaries to encourage actual engagement?
I generally don't post unless I have something to say or add to a topic. I'll say thanks for sharing if I actually download a pattern however.
