Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I use matt board and Aleens Tacky Glue. I find they give the cleanest finish. I have been practicing for years to get my finishes to look like this.

Unfortunately I am a visual person and cant put my steps down into writing. There are some good tutorials out there, if you do a seach for "The Twisted Stitcher" blog you will find the ones I have worked from.
