I dont know how many of you use Q-snaps, but I have found that, after a while, the clamps gets loose. I was told to put them in the dishwasher, but I dont have one. So... I boiled them! Yes, I boiled them!
I put them into a pot of boiling water for about 2 minutes. THen, I used tongs to get them out and set them on towel. I use the tongs to squeeze them tight because the plastic is hot and pliable. Then let them sit and cool.
It works well for me. Hope it works for you!
How old are you q-snaps that they have become loose? Ive had mine for a year or so and have no problems yet. But Im glad youve posted this tip for the eventuality that they do "stretch"
If you slide the older ones, like mine, slightly off top centre of the frame you will hear a crunching kind of sound. That is what I think causes them to loosen up. My daughter has a newer snap and ha

Interesting! I would never have thought of that. Mine are a little loose but I have cut pieces of felt that I use on top of the fabric and under the clip which keeps the fabric taut and protects the stitching as well.
