For anyone who - like me - feels puzzled about colour 702 Kelly Green:
I looked it up and this is the why & how:

-->  Kelly green is an intense, pure green that sits between blue and yellow in the color wheel. Its hex code is #4CBB17. Named after the common Irish family name, Kelly, it is reminiscent of the lush green Irish landscape. It is also commonly associated with the colors of St. Patrick’s Day.<--

:) Have a nice day of stitching everyone!

The names really have no significance. DMC uses only the color numbers.

Comments

Your right as for the modern patterns. But these names HAVE significance: in older/antique patterns DMC often use these names. Patternbooks were also black and white. No colour photos available!  Post time 2021-5-25 04:10
