(My first time posting a finished work - I hope I followed the instructions correctly!)
I am very proud of this. I work full-time so my stitching time is very limited but I stuck to this for 8 months and finally got it done and framed. There are many, many specialty stitches including drawn threadwork, silk ribbon embroidery, cross stitching, bead embellisments, and hardanger. (The tree was entirely back stitched! It took me ages.) I changed the original wording on the sampler to the lyrics of "O Tannenbaum" which I felt represented the sampler better. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for looking!
Name of the Pattern : Heirloom Christmas Sampler by the Victoria Sampler
Grid (W*H) : 328 H x 72 W
Fabric : 28 count Zweigart linen in "Flax" colour
Starting Date : August 2011
Finishing Date: April 2012
This is the finished sampler framed. I also included close-ups of the tree and the hardanger (I later put crimson fabric under the drawn thread work and hardanger).
