How do you organize your patterns?

Hello everyone, I have a question, over the years I have collected a large numbr of patterns, both for Pattern Maker and PCStitch, the thing is that I have little time to clasify them and put them in named folders, how do you do it, I know I have beautiful thing I wolud like to share with you, but can´t find the!
Any suggestions???
thanks!

I do thematically in folders (knit/hat, knit/christmas etc)

But honestly, my favorites are printed and put into a folder. There aren't many in my favorites folder that are printed.I figure if the SHTF and power was out... I would have the most important (to me).

I probably have more patterns then I can stitch in a lifetime, but I always organize them in folders. Even if it’s going to take a long time. Do a bit at a time and don’t worry if you don’t finish it in one sitting. Take your time.

In folders using the firm's/designer's name and into it I made theme folders - toys, autumn, animals e t.c. All files named like that: designer's name_scheme name_scheme number.

I organize mine in my drawers and shoe boxes. My thread and fabric are in my drawers. Wips are in my shoeboxes! I dont have a lot of space so thats all i can do

I prefer printouts & I don't organize them in any particular way.I get a digital chart & immediately print it!

I just put them all in a drawer box. My drawer has 3 sections. One for fabric, one for threads, and one for wips

other than taking the time, not much else you can do
The only other possible suggestion is to rename when you save - perhaps (for instance) say you have some Silver Lining floral patterns, either save them as SilverLining______ (name of pattern) or Floral___________ (name of pattern) and when they're saved on your computer, they'll at least be able to locate by type first, then pattern name.

OOPPS are you supposed to organise them, I don't think that word is in my stitcher's dictionary lol

I put them in a folder with the name of designer.

I usually go by subject. Then on the folder for the pattern, I put the designer as well.
Example - Sunflowers, then Sunflowers_MysticStitch

I save the patterns in a folder in the name of the Designer. For the ones that have Designers that are unknown I save in a folder according to the subject.

Make sure you have copies.I save to DVD's & two external hard drives. One by disk number and one by Designer

I save my in folders using the designers name and then name each folder in the designer folder with the name and number of the pattern.I have two external harddrives I keep them on so just in case my computer crashes or gets a virus.
